    Here's what I'll be teaching:

    Ragtime Fingerpicking: Arranging and Composing

    Level—Advanced

    Tuning: DAdd

Fingerpicking ragtime requires picking a steady alternating bass rhythm while also picking a syncopated melody. We’ll start out by playing a simple on-beat arrangement of “Go Tell Aunt Rhody,” and then learn how to syncopate the melody. Next, we’ll add some extra melody notes and change some chord positions. Voila! We’ll have a new composition and you’ll have all the basic skills to play, adapt, and compose your own ragtime music
